A neighbor reported a car break-in on Demouy Street on July 11, but I have not been able to verify that a police report was made.
Hopefully if you receive these emails you are already using caution when it comes to your vehicle. The MPD mantra remains the same: lock the doors and NEVER leave valuables in your vehicle- especially things like your purse or laptop on the front seat or a firearm ANYWHERE in your car. Many gun crimes are committed with stolen firearms.

Curfew update: Tomorrow, Mayor Sam Jones will hold a press conference on the proposed youth curfew. This issue will come before the City Council for discussion next Tuesday. If you have not done so, please contact the members of the City Council and voice your opinion on this issue.
