Our First Neighborhood Project

This is last weeks "clean-up" crew. Thanks to everyone that came out to help this past weekend...including Sarah Oetken at 26 S Lafayette! We will be making ONE LAST trip up this Saturday morning to clear out one remaining clump of brush. BTW, check out the newly revealed sidewalk....courtesy of Bruce Rockstad!

Cyclist injured when struck by car...

This type of headline is seen on a regular basis these days as more and more people begin taking the bike out for “close to home” errands or for a bit of exercise. Please let us all make it a point to “Share the Roads” and offer a small safe zone for cyclists, runners and pedestrians.

Miranda Mixon is a 16 year old singer/songwriter from Mobile, Al. who is quickly gaining local attention with her blend of Country, Pop and her own unique sound of music.
Miranda first picked up a guitar when she was 13, and since then has been developing her skills in playing and songwriting. She has been building a fan base while performing her own music in coffee shops, restaurants and open mics at various location...

First Meeting of the SLSCA

Please join us Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 7:00 pm at 30 S. Lafayette St, as we discuss the formation of our new community association. This meeting will serve as the initial planning session and will be an open forum for new ideas, thoughts and general feedback. The end result of this planning session will craft specific goals and objectives for the community. Emphasis will be on both short term and long term objectives.
